TAMPA – It’s great to be back. This year’s Telling It Like It Is meeting featured a new program format and a new location, both of which were fantastic. Featuring a blend of Dr. Osher’s educational passion, combined with a comprehensive CME program, the meeting provided the 300+ attendees with an engaging educational experience. The new program format covered Practice Management, sub-specialty breakouts in Oculoplastics, Pediatrics and Neuro-Ophthalmology, Retina, Glaucoma, Cornea and Refractive, and of course, plenty of cataract content. The sessions were full, the sponsored and supported programs were very well attended, the hall was buzzing during the dedicated breaks, and the areas surrounding the meeting were busy with meetings and off-hand conversations. Healio Live meetings are known for a blend of exceptional faculty and programs as well as great opportunities for physician/industry engagement. This year’s Telling It Like It Is meeting provided all of that.
Set in downtown Tampa this year, attendees and industry were treated to beautiful weather and a fabulous hotel setting in a great city that’s not known as a convention town. Selfishly, I wouldn’t mind if Tampa remains a well-kept secret and I hope this meeting returns in the near future.
If you participated this year as faculty, an attendee, or an industry sponsor, thank you. If you didn’t make it this year, it should definitely be on your radar for next year. Here’s a link to the meeting page; be on the lookout for 2024 information coming soon.
